Hi, I’m Natty Abdou.
I thank in advance my family and ancestors for my being in this moment, for my Egyptian lineage, the Nile and the lands along its banks from which I am sourced. I am grateful for how they enliven my lived experience, my sense of belonging to ethers and earth and to many teachings and wisdom encoded in their knowing.
I am a community facilitator, artist, energy healer and life-long learner.. I am on an ever-evolving journey of curiosity and creativity, and have spent the last 20 years connecting and collaborating with diverse communities in North America and Egypt, by co-creating learning environments that are founded upon shared values of diversity, love, respect, creativity and expression - embracing a vision of solidarity, social justice and change from the inside-out.
I experience the arts, theatre, song and embodied wisdom as portals of transformation - providing space for our souls to dance, breathe and unleash the deep wisdom that resides within. It is through the blending of creativity and value-based community building, that I am able to nurture individuals and groups in creating space for themselves - to reflect, share, learn and heal alongside one another for the purpose of personal, interpersonal and collective evolution.
My experience as a survivor-thriver of sexual assault has taught me so much about empathy, forgiveness, boundaries, agency, mental health, conflict transformation and community care. Above all, it has illuminated for me the capacity we have to heal ourselves when held in loving and supportive containers. My recent rebirth, after a decade of arduous struggle and healing, has widened my lens on the fine dance between the blessings and challenges of being alive.
I am inspired by the sheer brilliance of our body-wisdom, the potency of being held by the earth and beloveds and am reminded that truly anything is possible.
Life can be miraculous…
